We’re hiring a Senior National Account Manager to join our team! This is a high-impact opportunity to lead one of our most important customer relationships, driving growth, profitability, and long-term partnerships across the UK grocery channel. We’re introducing a new Senior National Account Manager role as part of our continued investment in people, growth, and career progression, expanding our capacity to deliver even greater results and build on the successes of our existing team.
Freixenet Copestick Ltd are a major player in the UK drinks market and we’re proud to be the UK’s leading supplier of sparkling wines. In this role, you’ll take ownership of our largest customer, Tesco, while also driving distribution and growth within Co-op. You’ll work across a portfolio of well-known brands including Freixenet, I Heart Wines, Mionetto, Segura Viudas, Gratien & Meyer, Phantom River and Bolney.
Working as part of a close-knit Grocery Sales Team, you’ll lead a key account relationship of strategic importance, while line managing a National Account Manager and collaborating cross-functionally to unlock new opportunities and deliver best-in-class execution.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own and deliver sales and profit targets across Tesco and Co-op
- Forecast performance and set clear financial plans for your accounts
- Plan, model and evaluate promotional activity to maximise return
- Build and develop strong relationships with key customer stakeholders
- Lead and develop a National Account Manager, working as a high-performing account team
- Collaborate with internal teams (Category, Marketing, Supply, Finance) to unlock growth opportunities
- Analyse sales and category data to build compelling customer plans and proposals
- Act as a key user of customer sales reporting systems and tools
- Work closely with the Business Unit Controller to deliver a cohesive group strategy
- Project manage key customer initiatives, activations, and events
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in FMCG sales or buying within grocery/off-trade (essential)
- Experience working with Tesco and/or Co-op
- Strong commercial acumen with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Confident with financial planning, forecasting, and data analysis
- Advanced Excel and strong PowerPoint skills
- Excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills
- Experience leading or mentoring others (or ready to step into line management)
- Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative, proactive, and results-driven approach
- Interest in wine, drinks, or the grocery sector
