We have an exciting opportunity to join Bolney Wine Estate as an Operations Executive. At Bolney, we are proud to produce award‑winning English wines, combining tradition, innovation, and a commitment to quality. This hands‑on role supports both winery production and warehouse operations, playing a key part in ensuring our wines are produced, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance.
Working closely with the Operations Manager, you'll support traditional method sparkling wine production, manage inventory, and help ensure products are delivered on time and in full.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support traditional method sparkling wine production, including riddling, dosage preparation, disgorging, corking, wire‑hooding and labelling
- Operate specialist winery equipment, including the GAI labelling line, neck freezer, disgorging line, gyro pallets and mixing equipment
- Assist with bottling, packaging and other production activities
- Manage dry goods and finished goods inventory, ensuring accurate stock control and traceability
- Support bonded and duty‑paid stock management, including third‑party warehouse stock
- Ensure production orders are completed on time and in full (OTIF)
- Work closely with planning and operations teams to meet production and despatch schedules
- Maintain accurate production records and compliance documentation
- Uphold high standards of health & safety, housekeeping and quality
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and efficiencies
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience working in a winery or wine production environment
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport due to our rural location
- Experience working within production, warehouse or manufacturing operations
- Understanding of bonded and duty‑paid stock movements
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to learn warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
- Experience operating production or packaging machinery is advantageous
- WSET qualification, forklift licence, or equivalent experience would be beneficial
