This is a dynamic, customer-facing role delivering exceptional service across our vineyard view restaurant, wine tastings, café, retail shop, and events. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys creating memorable experiences for every guest working weekends (9am–5pm) alongside occasional evenings and event days.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver warm, attentive service across all front-of-house areas including the shop, café, restaurant, tasting experiences, and events
- Use POS systems accurately and follow established service procedures
- Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, and wider teams to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Serve wine confidently and knowledgeably (full training provided)
- Support set-up, clear-down, and resetting of FOH areas, including opening and closing duties
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment at all times
- Assist with hosting vineyard tours and events where required
- Respond professionally to guest queries, feedback, or complaints, escalating where appropriate
- Uphold high service standards and represent the Bolney brand with pride
What we’re looking for:
- Previous hospitality or front-of-house experience is preferred but not essential (training provided)
- A warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and event days
- Willingness to support across different areas of the business when required
- A genuine interest in wine and willingness to learn (WSET or wine knowledge desirable)
- Right to work in the UK
- Access to transport due to our rural location
