Job Description
Freightserve are looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor. The role is working for a privately owned Freight Forwarder based in the Sunbury-on-Thames area.
- Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities and operations
- Ensure efficient processes are in place for the receiving and dispatching of goods
- Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
- Ensure warehouse space is utilised effectively and kept clean and organised
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping
- Arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload goods
- Resolve issues regarding shipped orders and liaise with other departments
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse best practices
- Implement operational warehouse policies and procedures
- Manage, evaluate and report on warehouse productivity
- Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline
Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role
- Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and health and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership and people management skills
- Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting heavy items
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
