Job Description

Freightserve are looking to recruit a Warehouse Supervisor. The role is working for a privately owned Freight Forwarder based in the Sunbury-on-Thames area.

  • Supervise and coordinate all warehouse activities and operations
  • Ensure efficient processes are in place for the receiving and dispatching of goods
  • Track and coordinate the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
  • Ensure warehouse space is utilised effectively and kept clean and organised
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Arrange warehouse handling equipment and load/unload goods
  • Resolve issues regarding shipped orders and liaise with other departments
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and warehouse best practices
  • Implement operational warehouse policies and procedures
  • Manage, evaluate and report on warehouse productivity
  • Manage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, evaluation, and discipline

Qualifications

  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role
  • Proficiency in inventory software, databases, and systems
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and health and safety regulations
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Ability to handle physical workload, including lifting heavy items
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
