Role Overview
We are seeking a senior operational leader with strong customs expertise to lead the setup, integration and long-term management of our in-house customs function, while also supporting our wider aviation logistics operations. This is a hybrid role, combining:
- Senior customs leadership
- Hands-on operational support
- Full ownership of customs P&L, compliance and development
The role is critical to transforming customs from an outsourced service into a core competitive advantage and standalone profit centre that we grow out.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end establishment of in-house customs brokerage
- Design and implement customs SOPs, workflows and controls
- Act as Company's senior technical authority on customs matters
- Support AEO readiness and compliance frameworks
- Ensure full compliance with HMRC, Border Force and regulatory bodies
- Embed customs seamlessly into time-critical aviation operations
- Support AOG, engine movements, aircraft parts and high-value shipments
- Ensure customs enhances speed, accuracy and customer experience
- Act as a senior escalation point for compliance issues
