Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Export Seafreight Operator for a busy well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area.
Job Role:
- The role is extremely varied, and you will become a key member of an operations team, actively involved in managing export seafreight shipments from start to finish.
- You will be hands on with every aspect of the Export seafreight forwarding process, ensuring the customer receives the highest level of service, and receives their goods safely and on-time.
Duties:
- Working to strict deadlines to co-ordinate export seafreight with end to end responsibility (including collections, bookings, liaising with overseas offices/customers).
- Seafreight booking and processing relevant documentation including BOL’s.
- Liaising effectively and building close relationships with our supply chain.
- Quotations.
- Invoicing clients.
- Strong ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously and communicating efficiently to the highest level via e-mail and telephone.
Required Experience:
- Experience in Oceanfreight.
- Customer service - excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Highly organised with a systematic approach and detail orientated.
Working hours are Monday - Friday 9-5.30pm.
