Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Air Export Gateway Coordinator for a major Freight Forwarder.
The company is based in the Heathrow area.
Key
Responsibilities:- Coordinate the day-to-day operation of the LHR Export Gateway, supporting UK branches with the planning, booking and execution of export air freight shipments.
Manage flight schedules, airline capacity, airline equipment, shipment allocations, consolidations and ULD builds to maximise efficiency, meet carrier cut-off times and achieve the best commercial rates.
Deliver excellent customer service by managing customer enquiries, meeting agreed KPIs and maintaining proactive communication with internal teams, branches and external partners.
Build and maintain strong relationships with airlines, handling agents and service providers to ensure smooth operational performance and service continuity.
Prepare and process export documentation, customs paperwork, airline bookings, CASS invoicing, cost accruals and financial documentation accurately and in line with company procedures.
Work collaboratively with Operations, Warehouse, Transport, Customer Service, Pricing, Sales and Commercial teams to ensure seamless end-to-end shipment management.
Use Cargo Wise, ASM Sequoia, Web Cargo and Microsoft Office to manage operational activities, maintain accurate records and support reporting requirements.
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, Aviation Security, Health Safety standards, company policies and export procedures, including month-end compliance activities and MUCR closures.
Support continuous improvement by identifying efficiencies, participating in cross-training, undertaking required training and carrying out additional duties to support the effective operation of the department.
Working hours are Sunday - Thursday (Friday and Saturday off) As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
