Freightserve are looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative. The role is working for a well-established niche sector Freight Forwarder dealing with high value goods. The company are based in the Heathrow area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Security and Access Control: Warehouse operatives are responsible for maintaining the security of the Warehouse facility. This includes monitoring access points, verifying credentials of individuals entering the warehouse and ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Asset Handling: Warehouse operatives handle and transport valuable assets within the Warehouse facility. This may involve unpacking and packing items, organizing assets, and moving them to and from secure storage areas.
  • Inventory Management: Warehouse operatives are involved in the management of inventory within the vault. They may conduct regular inventory checks, reconcile discrepancies, and maintain accurate records of asset movements and storage locations.
  • Recordkeeping and Documentation: Maintaining accurate and detailed records is crucial in a Warehouse environment. Warehouse operatives may be responsible for documenting asset transfers, updating inventory systems, and generating reports as required.
  • Compliance and Procedures: Warehouse operatives must adhere to strict operational procedures and security guidelines to ensure the safety and integrity of the stored assets. They may assist in implementing and maintaining compliance measures and participate in regular audits.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Warehouse operatives may be responsible for the maintenance and basic troubleshooting of Warehouse equipment and security systems. This may include surveillance cameras, alarm systems, access controls, and environmental monitoring systems.

This role requires references to be provided for the last 5 years as well as a successful DBS check.

Hours: 45 Hour week with a 1-hour lunch (unpaid) break included. OT will be expected from time to time.
