Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Import Seafreight person for an excellent Freight Forwarder based in the Sunbury-on-Thames area.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Arrange collection of any overseas shipments from any country (not sanctioned countries) either directly through a designated haulier or by approved overseas agent, ensuring all correct documentation is in place.
- Request clearance instructions for any shipment requiring an import clearance to be done by an appointed approved agent, in line with CDS requirements.
- Ensure all shipments are cleared correctly. Once cleared, arrange release or delivery of shipments ASAP.
- Ensure invoicing requirements are met, issued correctly and in a timely manner.
- Advise and assist customers regarding CDS, PVA and customs procedures.
- Ensure to work compliantly with AEO and compliance procedures.
- Ensure that all relevant emails, documents and information are uploaded/added into the system, including copies of all import documentation and relevant emails in case of future audits.
Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm.
