Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Export Seafreight Operator for a busy well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area.
Job Role:
The role is extremely varied, and you will become a key member of an operations team, actively involved in managing export seafreight shipments from start to finish. You will be hands on with every aspect of Export seafreight forwarding process, ensuring the customer receives the highest level of service, and receive their goods safely and on-time.
Duties:
- Working to strict deadlines to co-ordinate export seafreight with end to end responsibility (including collections, bookings, liaising with overseas offices/customers).
- Seafreight booking and processing relevant documentation including BOLs.
- Liaising effectively and building close relationships with our supply chain.
- Quotations.
- Invoicing clients.
- Strong ability to handle multiple shipments simultaneously and communicating efficiently to the highest level via e-mail and telephone.
Required Experience:
- Experience in Oceanfreight.
- Customer service - excellent telephone manner and communication skills.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook.
- Highly organised with a systematic approach and detail orientated.
Working hours are Monday - Friday 9-5.30pm.
