Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Pricing Coordinator for a major Freight Forwarder based in the Heathrow area.

Freight Forwarding supplies and combines freight services, information management and added value into integrated solutions. As part of the Group, Freight Forwarding supports capacity to offer customers one partner to support their supply chain challenges worldwide. The Product function is the commercial driver of our growth. The purpose of the department is to win, retain and develop profitable business. The Pricing team are accountable for specific support activities to Freight Forwarding commercial owners in Business Development, product, and operations.

Working as part of the Pricing team, the Pricing Co-Ordinator is responsible for the daily support of the network and Pricing Manager to ensure customer’s demands are met, covering, but not limited to, forwarding activity, quotations, billing queries and reporting - delivered to the highest standard, keeping in mind attention to detail and business acumen.

Pricing Co-Ordinators are responsible for:

  • Providing pricing & ad hoc rates to overseas partners, offices, BDM’s and customers.
  • Quoting all spot shipments from network and tenders that cannot be answered with self-serve tools.
  • Reporting and analysing quote statistics and trends.
  • Transition of won shipment information to the correct operational team.
  • Create and maintain pricing tools (spreadsheets, calculators, databases).
  • Inform pricing updates to relevant support teams.
  • Corrective Actions - identify and implement changes in process to improve overall company performance.
  • Pricing and Quotations.

Essential Technical experience:

  • Vocational working and thinking level.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Experience in freight forwarding and logistics industry.
  • Good knowledge of freight products & operational processes (Import and Export, Air, Sea and Road).
  • Good communication / telemarketing and negotiation skills.
  • High level of MS Excel skill.
  • Fully PC literate and able to use various platforms and software.
  • Customer Satisfaction and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
