Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Import Seafreight Operator for a well-established worldwide Freight Forwarder based in the Feltham, Middlesex area. Duties:- * Develop and maintain effective working relationships with each customer to enhance continued account development. * Oversee and manage day –to-day customer activities and ensure the operations team is aligned. * Liaise closely with the overseas offices to ensure the smooth handling of FCL, LCL and conventional cargo to meet the customers required schedule * Ensure the most cost effective and reliable solution for the carriage of goods. * Enter shipments on in house system and ensure that KPI’s are maintained. * Obtain, check and prepare all documentation. * Enter shipments to Customs Clearance, complying with HMRC procedures and regulations. * Liaise with the carriers, consolidators and / or any third parties for the release and delivery of cargo. * Maintain at all times close contact with the client to advise the status of their consignment and satisfy delivery expectation. * Monitor credit and collection activities to maintain and comply with Company's credit policy and defined terms for each customer. * Invoice consignments in accordance with the customer rates given or the quotation as provided to the customer. Hours are Monday - Friday 09:00 - 1730 Experience Required:- * Minimum 3-4 year’s customs entry experience * Experience within Import Seafreight Benefits:- * Quarterly bonus scheme if Company meets budget targets * Company pension scheme * Holidays: 25 days per annum increasing by one day for every one year’s continuous service up to a maximum of 28 days As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
