Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Multi-Modal Freight Clerk with a bias towards Airfreight. The company are a small well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area.
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Multi-Modal Freight Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in export and import operations, including handling customs documentation, coordinating shipments, and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a solid understanding of export procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Process export documentation, MAWB, HAWBS, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Customs entries.
- Ensure all shipments comply with customs regulations.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and transport companies.
- Maintain accurate records of all export/import transactions and documentation.
- Assist in resolving any customs-related issues.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted in a timely manner.
Key Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in Airfreight (ideally both Export and Imports).
- Knowledge of customs procedures and documentation.
- Experience using customs entry systems.
- Air, Sea and Roadfreight (Mainly Air Exports).
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
Working hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm.
