Track Maintenance Operative
Freightliner Heavy Haul Ltd
Location: Crewe VMF
Salary: £33,005 p/a rising to £34,757 p/a upon passing successful probation
Who are we looking for?
A vacancy has arisen for a Track Maintenance Operative to join the Track Maintenance team based out of Crewe. The Track Maintenance team carry out track inspections and repairs at all Freightliner sites in the UK and also at a number of our customer sites.
On your first day, we’ll expect you to have:
- Commitment to safe working practices
- Full clean UK driving licence
- CPCS/NPORS desirable
- Knowledge of railway and a PTS holder would be advantageous
- Enthusiasm for travelling and a flexible approach to working hours – this role involves out base working and lodging away including weekend working and on-call duties.
What your key responsibilities will be:
- Adhere to health & safety and local safety policy requirements, and other safety and technical standards.
- Ensure Freightliner company standards and procedures are applied and followed.
- Inspect, Maintain and repair track in accordance with maintenance plans.
- Ensure all work is recorded correctly to company standards.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe environment.
