Role: Network Capability and Access Manager

Location: London/Ferrybridge

Responsibilities:

  • Review, respond, and negotiate Network Change proposals from Network Rail
  • Negotiate Timetable Planning Rules to improve capacity and performance
  • Negotiate Standard Possession Opportunities to enhance efficiency
  • Create and establish Supplemental Agreements for Track Access Contracts
  • Influence Network Rail projects for future infrastructure improvements
  • Propose initiatives to add value and challenge existing protocols
  • Promote effective communication within teams
  • Ensure compliance with Designated Financial Authorities
  • Foster a safety-first culture and continual safety improvements
  • Support governance and control principles, including SOx
  • Participate in ad hoc projects, including M&A activities

Key Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Parts D, G, J of the Network Code
  • Understanding of railway signalling and operations
  • Knowledge of national railway geography and Freightliner operations
  • High understanding of train planning systems and processes
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
  • Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight stays
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders
