Join our Southampton team as a Business Systems Analyst at Freightliner Group Ltd on a full-time, permanent basis.
A vacancy has arisen within the IT department for a full-time Business Systems Analyst. Working within the Business Analysis Team the role is to predominantly act as the interface between the business, development teams, customers and external vendors providing analysis, solutions and support to enable the business to operate effectively, alongside providing 3rd line application and project support and management of smaller internal projects.
This is a varied role requiring a wide range of business knowledge and technical understanding which would suit an individual with an inquisitive and questioning character who is looking to expand on existing analysis skills and project experience.
The main focus for this position is understanding and resolving EDI messaging issues alongside managing new requests in line with the business and customers requirements.
Additionally the role encompasses;
- Reviewing and documenting business processes, identifying requirements and managing change requests
- Responsibility for application testing, issue logging and follow up of issues
- Creation and maintenance of testing, training and specification documentation
- Investigation and resolution of in house and external application user queries
- Managing internal SOX processes to meet the ITGC requirements
The ideal candidate will be self motivated and customer focused, have experience in analysing & documenting business requirements particularly around EDI and API integrations and be able to demonstrate; excellent verbal and written communication, good logical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple issues and priorities, in addition to a good understanding of the Freightliner UK business.
The successful applicant will be a cohesive team player, committed to providing a high standard of service to the business.
Due to the nature of the position, applicants must also be flexible in both duties and hours, the role includes occasional travel and overnight stays.
