Our client is a well-established freight forwarder offering a hands-on approach to all clients, ensuring working partnerships are built and maintained throughout the course of projects and beyond. The specialist sea freight division offers dedicated LCL (Less than Container Load) and FCL (Full Container Load) sea freight services to and from Europe, USA, Far East and Middle East as well as expert freight forwarding services.
We are now recruiting for a highly experienced Freight Operations Clerk to join the busy freight forwarding team. Must have experience of both import and export sea, air and road would be an advantage.
In this position you will hold ultimate responsibility for the following duties / tasks:
- Provide an outstanding level of customer service to both internal & external clients
- Handling sea freight imports and exports movements
- Ensure the accurate and timely processing of import and export customs declarations
- Taking freight bookings
- Completing sea freight documentation
- Manage the release of consignments at port
Applying candidates will possess:
- Experience from working for a freight forwarder in a sea freight imports and exports role
- A broad understanding of the overall customs process
- Knowledge of Import and Export Clearance systems such as CDS/Descartes/Chief/ASM/CNS/Destin8/BoxTop
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Exceptional IT skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual
- Strong organisational & time management skills
Package and Benefits:
