Our client is an International Global Freight Forwarder, specialising within the Far East, USA as their main areas. Forming partnerships to freight manage their client’s global business leaving the client free to concentrate on its own core business. Their management team is totally focused on achieving higher levels of service both internally and externally. Now due to expansion we are now recruiting for an Ocean Export Operator to join the team at the Birmingham location, handling mainly the exports of PetrochemicalsYour role will involve:* Developing and building relationships to ensure a high level of customer service is provided to customers * Ensure freight is moved on time with all the necessary documentation * Arrange haulage with shipping lines* Ensure all freight is invoiced and checked prior to dispatch * Ensure all relevant documents are on hand as required * Ensure requests and queries are resolved and actioned quickly and efficiently* Communicate with overseas agents, customers and suppliers in a clear precise manner * Use customer ERP and SAP systems as and when required In order to apply you will have:* Experience of Ocean freight forwarding * Used to working under pressure to meet fixed deadlines * Strong numerical and commercial skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Excellent attention to detail * Excellent usage of computer / operating system (Microsoft Windows) along with other office applications (Microsoft Office) (Cargowise – …
