Our client is a well-established European and road freight operator with over 80 trucks and over 120 trailers in its fleet. They are a well-known brand in the freight industry known for their high level, service driven services covering the Benelux countries for almost 55 years.
We are now looking for a Junior Road Freight Operator to join the freight road freight team. In essence, the role will suit someone with a small amount of freight experience, perhaps a few months or a year who is looking to take a move into a company that can offer a long-term position in the freight industry, where they can develop from a junior role into a senior operator.
Working alongside another member of staff who joined 6 months ago, you will work on the import operations department and share some responsibility in supporting the experienced operator for the team. You will learn from the Senior Road Freight Operator, Branch Manager and other colleagues in the business too, and within a few months, your role can develop into more of a lead role on the import road freight department.
Looking at a starting salary of around £23.5k - £25k per year, but this is flexible, with a commitment to review after 3 months then annual reviews thereafter.
