Job Description
Our client is a well-established GSA with contracts with major airlines, there sizable portfolio demonstrates their ability to achieve excellent results for airlines of all sizes in an extremely competitive market.We are now recruiting at their Hounslow office for an Internal Sales Agent – Air FreightYour role will be to provide customers with the best-in-class customer experience to their Freight forwarding and airline customers, in order to maximise revenue opportunities & grow market share.You and the team generate revenue from a portfolio of freight forwarder customers by maintaining a call plan in order to identify opportunity & grow market share for their Airlines. Handling correspondence received into the Sales e-mail inbox and chasing all quotes to gain the sale or close enquiries. Creating and distributing sales related documents.Main responsibilities Contacting customers to generate sales for light flights, passing sales leads to external sales when necessary and feeding back with quotes within departments agreed time frames.Records all tele-sales communication in sales reports and stores on the shared drive. Keeps the database up to date with accurate contact, customer and contact details.Dealing with e-mails received into the Sales Mailbox and where required offering competitive pricing in line with customer requirements & in line with airline's approval. Chases pending quotes in order to improve conversion rate, offering a counter rate, if need be, in order to win the business.Ensuring Contract rate spreadsheet is updated as well as Cargospot. Using the spreadsheet to drive contract rate reviews within the team. Also, to ensure they are distributed to the customer & internallyProviding support when tenders for new Airlines are received, including market intelligence data, & preparing presentations/submissions.Providing support when tenders from our customers are received, including customer intelligence data, rate/PB utilisation analysis. Using internal data to provide competitive pricing and accurate information in line with Airlines approval.Dealing with Reservation calls in peak periodsSkills & Knowledge Required:* In order to apply for this role, you will have worked in customer focused / commercial internal role for GSA, airline or be working for a freight forwarder in an air freight role* Customer focused * Work well under pressure. * Work well both as part of a team and individually. * Good Customer Services skills both written and spoken.BenefitsSalary: £26,000 to £32,000Hours of work Monday to Friday 0900 – 1730 with 30 mins lunch break.20 days paid annual leave to start rising Contributory Pension Scheme.
