Our client is one of the leading providers of overnight delivery serving the UK and Ireland market. Their freight hubs are strategically located both in the UK and Ireland to provide express road freight next day delivery with 3 depots in England and 1 large site in Dublin, Ireland.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an FLT Driver / Warehouse Operator hybrid role working within the rapidly expanding Irish Distribution company based in Warrington on their PM shift with working hours of 2pm to 11pm.
Reporting directly to the Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for:
- Day to day management of the warehouse whilst on shift
- Loading and unloading of C&D vehicles
- Loading up the Irish freight
- Labelling
- Customer service
- General admin duties
The role would focus on FLT Driver work and warehouse operations, and a Counter Balance FLT License is essential. Flexibility is key with transport, trailer or warehouse operations experience. Irish distribution experience would be ideal.
Someone with a good office mentality, PC skills and the ability to learn and want a career is also important. The salary would be starting at £27K, with a quarterly bonus scheme after a 6-month probation period, and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 2.00pm - 11.00pm.
The successful candidate must have experience from a UK haulage, Irish distribution, pallet distribution and/or European road freight background, preferably with experience within the Irish marketplace. You must have excellent communication skills and a good level of competence in using a computer.
