Our client is a global freight forwarder, specialising in shipping to Africa, the Middle East, India and Pakistan. They work with local partners on every continent to offer the best advice and sea freight options available. They are looking to strengthen the Sales department and are now recruiting for a Commercial Freight Clerk to join the team at their offices in Bradford.
This is a crucial role that contributes directly to the profitability of the company, involving taking customer enquiries, providing quotations whilst gaining new business. You will be expected to be proactive in the role and maintain and develop business relationships. Effective communication and close team working is key.
Key responsibilities are as follows:
- To provide accurate, competitive pricing to customers and the external sales team
- To maximise Profit Per Job (PPJ) whilst maintaining a realistic price
