Our client is a well-established Freight Forwarding and Logistics specialist with offices in strategically placed locations throughout England and Scotland. Delivering around 200,000 consignments per year for 9,000 clients with a turnover of €50m. We are now looking for a Sea Freight Exports Coordinator working within a busy Ocean department - to work within a team to receive bookings from overseas offices, to complete all ocean export requirements for both LCL and FCL.
Main Duties:
- Receiving bookings from overseas offices
- Raising files using internal software system
- Preparation of shipping instructions
- Speaking to shipping lines / carriers
- Checking vessel departures
- Ensuring correct documentation is presented / obtained
- Costing files
- Raising invoices to overseas offices
- File queries
Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Ocean Export processes is essential
- Experience of Customs procedures, including Duty/VAT process on imports is desirable
- Knowledge of the freight forwarding industry is essential
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Package - Word, Excel
- Training on in-house systems provided in full
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
