We are now recruiting for the Manchester office which is based in Altrincham for a Freight Forwarding Air Freight Imports Clerk.
Key duties and responsibilities:- Air Freight Quotations.
- Producing all documentation for air freight import shipments.
- Completion of customs declarations.
- Track shipments.
- Follow up on Pre-Alerts.
- Authenticating supplier invoices.
- Completing customer invoicing within revenue recognition policy.
- Adding accurate costs to the system to ensure financial reports correct.
- Recording correspondence in eDocs.
- Dealing with queries, both shipment and invoice.
- Promotion of additional services to clients.
- Ensuring all internal SOPs are followed correctly.
- Awareness of Deferment and Government Gateway accounting procedures.
- Ensuring any tasks within Workflow are actioned quickly.
- Applying candidates will have recent relevant industry experience with previous involvement in Air Imports from quote to delivered.
- Good communication skills.
- Good organisation skills and effective time management & working practices.
- Manage time effectively.
- Commercial awareness.
- Attention to detail.
- IT Literate in Microsoft Office.
- Cargowise experience an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be provided.
- Salary: £30,000-£35,000 Circa.
