Our client is a well- established international freight forwarder who are now looking for an experienced Sea Freight Imports/Export Clerk to join their growing Bradford branch. For over 150 years my client has been handling export and import shipping requirements throughout Europe and Worldwide. Their reputation is based on their caring, customer focused service and competitive pricing We are now looking for an experienced Sea Freight Import / Export Freight Co-ordinator handling the full Sea freight export/Import cycle from start to finish Working within a busy sea freight forwarding operation. The successful applicant would be required to liaise with clients, handle quotations, complete documentation, up to final delivery including customs procedures Duties – Taking sea freight bookings by telephone and email – Providing quotations for new and existing clients – Completing Import and Export documentation and negotiating rates – Dealing with customer queries and complaints – Liaising with overseas agents – Invoicing Qualification & Skills Previous experience in Sea freight imports/Exports movements is essential. You must have a good telephone manner and be able to work as part of an established team as well as on their own initiative. With a good level of education and be computer literate.
