The opportunity
Are you looking to kick‑start a dynamic career in broking? FIS are offering an invaluable opportunity for exceptional candidates to learn how brokers work in a business with an unparalleled reputation and global reach. The internship programme will be held in our fantastic London HQ office, next to Cannon Street station. We run two intakes per year that run for 2 consecutive weeks; the first placement is due to start on 15 June and run until 26 June. The second placement opportunity is due to run from 7 September until 18 September.
What You Can Expect

- A rotation on various freight and commodities broking desks
- Learn about broking and gain insight into the markets we operate in
- Work on stimulating research projects and presentations
Requirements
- Excellent communication, presentation and collaboration skills
- Personable and engaging; a natural networker able to quickly build rapport with others
- Tenacious and driven, thrive in a fast‑moving environment
- Demonstrate both analytical thinking and strong numerical skills
- People with an interest in commodities and the broking industry
- Strong IT Systems experience, including in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) would be preferred
Entry Requirements
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Studying towards a shipping qualification (advantageous)
- We are looking for early career candidates looking to transition into a full‑time role
