About the Role
We are currently seeking a reliable and professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our transport team based in Rushden, NN10. This role involves rigid and tail-lift, up to 7 drops per day across a variety of locations delivering AdBlue and agricultural products and general, palletised freight. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver who is comfortable with multi-drop work and who takes pride in delivering excellent service. Our client offers flexibility across shift patterns involving day work and/or nights out for drivers who are seeking tramping. Nights out are paid at £26.20 per night out.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Class 1 vehicle in a safe and compliant manner
- Most deliveries will be offloaded by depot staff
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time
- Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
- Maintaining delivery paperwork and PODs
- Adhering to driver hours, WTD and road transport legislation
- Providing a professional and customer-focused service at all delivery points
Driver Requirements
- Minimum 2 years HGV Class 1 driving experience within the UK
- Aged 25 years or over (insurance requirement)
- Valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 3 penalty points
- No major endorsements (DD, DR, IN etc.)
- Comfortable with manual handling duties as and where required
- Strong reliability and time management skills
