Freight Force Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our haulage partner. They are looking for professional and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers based in Milton Keynes (MK6 1NE). This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced HGV Class 1 drivers looking for a role that offers genuine flexibility around shift patterns, start times and the type of work they prefer.
The work is varied, giving drivers the opportunity to undertake a range of HGV Class 1 assignments across the operation. Work can include:
- Container work.
- Curtainside work.
- Amazon drop and swap trailer movements.
- Trailer collections and deliveries.
- Safe and efficient movement of goods and trailers across the UK.
- Using navigation systems and knowledge of the road network to plan and complete journeys efficiently.
- Completing daily vehicle walk-around checks and reporting any defects or issues.
- Completing all required driver paperwork and documentation.
- Maintaining compliance with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and all relevant transport legislation.
- Communicating professionally with customers, fulfilment centres and other stakeholders.
No handball or manual handling is required on Amazon drop and swap work. Whether you're looking for a consistent working pattern or greater flexibility around your personal commitments, the company will work with you wherever possible to find a suitable arrangement.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid UK HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- A Digital Tachograph Card.
- A maximum of 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
A minimum of 1 year's HGV Class 1 driving experience is preferred, however newly passed Class 1 drivers are welcome to apply. Newly qualified drivers will be required to undertake a structured training programme and will be required to sign a Training Rebate Agreement following successful placement.
