Freight Force Recruitment are working in partnership with a very well-established import company. Founded over 45 years ago, the company has supported a successful distribution network, servicing importers, wholesalers and retailers worldwide. Working alongside a network of suppliers, manufacturers, importers and exporters, understanding the need for selection, quality and promptness and ensuring that the quality of products is always met. With multiple Joint Venture factories and branch offices in Zhejiang Province, China & Taiwan, the company is very capable of offering customers a first-class service.

Role Overview

This is a structured, office-based support role focused on maintaining accurate shipping schedules, documentation control and supplier follow-up. This is not a senior logistics role. It is a detail-driven coordination and administration position requiring consistency and ownership. Full training and support will be provided for the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Full shipping procedure from placing orders with factories to goods arriving into stock in UK
  • Maintain and update shipping schedule accurately
  • Liaise with suppliers and freight forwarders regarding shipments
  • Prepare and check shipping documentation
  • Monitor container ETAs and flag delays
  • Ensure compliance documentation is requested where required (e.g. WEEE, REACH, RoHS, product paperwork)
  • Assist with invoicing, sales contracts & purchase orders
  • Enter and update data in Sage
  • Maintain organised electronic and physical filing
  • Follow up on outstanding supplier responses
  • QA goods after shipment arrives
  • Update product catalogue
  • Help with product artwork design

Shipping or logistics experience is beneficial but not essential. Strong office administration experience is essential.
