Job Description: Class 2 HIAB Driver Temp to Perm

Location: Sheffield

Job Type: Temporary with potential for permanent employment

Hours: Monday to Friday / Monday to Saturday rotating shifts

Start Date: Immediate starts available

Pay: PAYE - Full In house Payroll - We do not use Umbrella Companies

Freeway Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Class 2 HIAB Drivers to work on an ongoing contract with one of our established clients. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and experienced drivers, with the potential for the position to become permanent for the right candidate.

The Role

You will be operating 18-tonne and/or 26-tonne HIAB vehicles, making deliveries to a variety of locations including domestic building sites and larger commercial construction sites. Typical deliveries will include:

  • Bricks and blocks
  • Building aggregates
  • Plasterboard and building boards
  • Other construction materials

The role involves operating a remote-access HIAB with brick grab, so previous experience and the appropriate accreditation are essential.

Hours

Rotating Monday to Friday / Monday to Saturday shift pattern

Typical start time: 07:00am

Typical finish: approximately 4:00pm, although finish times may vary depending on deliveries and workload

Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A full and valid Class 2 (LGV C) driving licence held for at least 2 years
  • Proven experience operating 26-tonne HIAB vehicles
  • Experience using a remote-access HIAB and brick grab
  • Valid ALLMI HIAB Brick Grab and Remote Access accreditation
  • MUST HAVE ALLMI C5+E Category
  • No more than 6 penalty points
  • No DR, DD, IN or CD endorsements
  • A reliable and professional approach to work
  • Good knowledge of safe vehicle operation and delivery procedures
