The Role:
We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Day Drivers for a variety of temporary and ongoing contracts across Greater Manchester. Our clients operate a mixture of curtain-sided and flatbed trailers, offering varied work across a range of industries. Deliveries may include palletised freight, concrete products, steel, pipes, building materials and other industrial goods. This role is best suited to drivers who are confident operating both curtain-sided and flatbed trailers and who have experience securing loads safely using straps and other load restraint equipment. Typical start times are between 6:00am and 7:00am, with day shifts offering regular hours.
Duties Include:
- Driving Class 1 (C+E) curtain-sided and flatbed vehicles.
- Delivering palletised goods, concrete products, pipes, steel and other construction and industrial materials.
- Safely securing loads using ratchet straps and other load restraint methods.
- Opening and closing curtains where required.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Completing delivery documentation accurately.
- Providing a professional service.
