Freeway Recruitment are looking to register temporary Class 1 Drivers (Day work) to work for a local client and haulier based in Leeds. Our client is a well-established haulier with a long history within the general haulage sector.
Job Role / Description:
- Our client is looking for drivers to cover day shifts
- General haulage deliveries and collections
- Local, regional, and national work of palletised goods
- Part of a wider national palletised network
- Delivering to a range of client customers to a variety of sectors
- Plenty of overtime paid at time and a half of basic pay, average of 10 – 12 hour shifts
- Opportunity of nights out at Driver's request
- Vehicles are in good condition and mostly a new fleet
- All work is paid at time and a half of basic pay (after break deduction)
Requirements:
- Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practises and procedures at all times
- Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
- Hold a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to your work
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
- Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
- Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our Client
Qualifications / training / experience:
- Valid Class 1 (HGV C+E) driving licence
- Valid Digital tachograph card
- Valid Driver CPC card
- Have no more than 9 current points on licence (No DR/DD/IN Driving offences accepted)
