The Role
We are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for temporary and ongoing contracts across Cheadle and stockport.
Our clients operate a wide range of commercial vehicles, including curtain-sided and flatbed vehicles, offering varied work across the transport and construction sectors.
Drivers will be delivering a variety of products including palletised goods, building materials, steel, timber, concrete products and other industrial materials.
This is a job and finish role, with early morning starts from 6:00am.
Duties Include
- Driving Class 2 curtain-sided and flatbed vehicles.
- Delivering palletised goods to commercial customers.
- Transporting building materials, timber, steel, concrete products and other industrial materials.
- Safely securing loads using ratchet straps and other load restraint equipment where required.
- Opening and closing curtain-sided vehicles.
- Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks.
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Complying with Driver Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport regulations.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you must have
- A valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence held for a minimum of 1 to 2 years.
- At least 1 year's Class 2 driving experience.
- Experience driving both curtain-sided and flatbed vehicles is preferred.
- Confidence securing loads safely using ratchet straps.
- A valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence.
- No endorsements that have resulted in a driving ban or disqualification.
- A good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
- A professional, reliable and safety-conscious approach to work.
