Freeway are looking for HGV Class 2 Drivers who want night out and tramping work or DAY drivers to work for our client located in Castleford & Wakefield. Class 2 drivers will be required to deliver general haulage palletised goods to a national client base. Drivers work on average 40-45 hours a week. The work is generally ongoing once a driver has settled into the client and understands the remit of the role including all Health & Safety aspects.
Requirements:
- Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practices and procedures at all times
- Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
- Hold a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to your work
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills
- Keep vehicle is kept clean and tidy at all times
- Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
- Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
- Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our client
- Check in transport before parking up for the night
Qualifications / training / experience:
- Valid Class 2 driving licence
- Valid Digital tachograph card
- Valid Driver CPC card
- Have no more than 6 current points on licence for separate 3pt offences (No DR/DD/IN Driving offences accepted)
- 2 checkable work references
- 2 years Class 1 experience required due to insurance restrictions
