Freeway Recruitment are looking to register 7.5 Tonne Drivers for full time employment with our client.
Our customer is an independent company located in Leeds. We are currently recruiting for an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver (Category C1) to support a well-established business. You will be transporting construction related materials. Deliveries are local across Yorkshire and the North of England, ranging from 2 to 6 per day. The Driver is required to support on-site teams with loading and unloading of goods, which requires manual handling. The driver needs to be willing to carry out this duty and be familiar with safe manual handling practices. Average day is 8-9 hours maximum.
Requirements:
- Be competent and able to follow Health & Safety practices and procedures at all times
- Be reliable and hold excellent time keeping
- Hold a flexible ‘can do’ attitude to your work
- Good command of English both written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills
- Keep vehicle clean and tidy at all times
- Have excellent geographic knowledge of UK road network
- Have a positive attitude and a professional work ethic
- Smart appearance, as you will be representing Freeway Recruitment & our Client
Qualifications / training / experience:
- Valid Class C1 (7.5 Tonne) driving licence + Valid Digital tachograph card + Valid Driver CPC card
- Hold an in-date Lorry Loader HIAB Licence (ALLMI, ITSSAR, RTITB and other training qualifications accepted)
- Have no more than 6 current points on licence for separate 3pt offences (No DR/DD/IN Driving offences accepted)
- 2 work checkable work references
Pay: £16.81ph (Holidays paid out weekly/in advance). IN-HOUSE PAYE PAYROLL - NO UMBRELLA/PAYROLL COMPANIES!
