About the role:
- As a Test Automation Engineer at Freetrade, you will be a key contributor to ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
- You will focus on building and executing automated tests using modern tools and frameworks, with a particular emphasis on end-to-end platform testing and stable releases.
- Develop and integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to support functional, integration, and regression testing.
- Build and maintain web and mobile test automation scripts within our existing frameworks.
- Identify, analyse, and document defects, functional discrepancies, UI issues, and data inconsistencies with precision.
- Collaborate with cross-functional development teams to provide testing feedback and help improve product quality.
- Contribute to the team’s knowledge base, staying up-to-date with best practices and supporting the overall quality culture.
About you:
- You've implemented comprehensive test approaches, writing detailed test cases, and evaluating results to ensure features are production-ready.
- Experience conducting functional testing across the stack, including integration, UI, regression, and REST/GraphQL API testing.
- Maintained and expanded automated test suites, using industry-standard tools such as Playwright, Appium and Browserstack.
- Written clean, readable, and maintainable test code and validation scripts in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Executed tests within CircleCI pipelines and supported shift-left initiatives to catch bugs early in the development cycle.
