We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Finance team. Commercial Finance at Freetrade plays a critical role in shaping decisions across the business by partnering closely with teams to support growth, evaluate opportunities and provide financial clarity at every level. You will report to the Senior Business Partner and support each of the Finance Business Partners who work closely with Marketing, Tech and People.
In this role, you will help enable effective decision making across the business by building robust Management Information, delivering insightful analysis and supporting how performance is tracked and improved. This role has a strong focus on product and commercial finance. You will work closely with the Finance Business Partners to support their engagement with Marketing, Tech and People teams, helping assess initiatives, evaluate performance and inform financial decisions. Alongside your core Commercial Finance responsibilities, you will gain exposure to other areas of the Finance function, including Treasury and Financial Control, giving you a rounded view of how finance operates in a scaling fintech.
This role is well suited to someone early in their career who is eager to build broad experience, take ownership and contribute in a fast-moving environment.
What you will do:
- Support the monthly Management Information process and help turn data into actionable insight.
- Maintain and improve budgeting and forecasting models across the business.
- Support analysis of product launches, pricing and performance to guide commercial decisions.
- Work with Commercial Finance Business Partners to support Marketing, Tech and People teams with financial analysis and insight.
- Contribute to procurement reviews, cost saving initiatives and investment evaluations.
About you:
- You have a 2:1 or above in a relevant degree such as STEM, Finance, Accounting or Economics and are planning to begin your professional accounting qualification soon.
- You are confident in Google Sheets / Excel and interested in learning tools like Looker and SQL and enjoy working with data and know how to turn analysis into clear recommendations.
- You are commercially curious, proactive and comfortable engaging with different teams.
- You want to work in a fast-paced environment and are excited by the investment industry.
