About Freetrade

Freetrade’s mission is to become the default place to invest. Investing has been too complicated and expensive for too long, keeping millions from making the most of their savings. We’re changing that. We’re building our team and looking for people who are excited to reshape how our customers invest and grow their wealth. If you’re driven by solving complex problems and building innovative products, you’ll fit right in.

2026 is a big year for us. Last year, we announced a game changing deal to become part of the IG Group. We’ll continue to operate as an independent business while gaining access to the resources and support of an established leader in the space. This year, we’re accelerating our roadmap and taking our products to the next level. We’re building new features like mutual funds, bonds, and family investment tools. We’re also exploring how we can leverage AI to deliver an even better experience for our customers.

In this role

You will gain hands-on experience across treasury operations at Freetrade, playing a key role in ensuring the effective management of the firm’s liquidity, cash, and banking arrangements. This is an early career role, but one where you will be trusted early with responsibility for important treasury processes that underpin the day-to-day running of the business. With the right support and guidance, you will be encouraged to take ownership, build confidence in your decision-making, and develop quickly through real exposure rather than observation. Alongside study support for a professional qualification, we will equip you with the skills, autonomy, and accountability needed to make meaningful contributions from day one. Bringing curiosity and a strong attention to detail, you will be a key part of the Finance team and the continued success of our growing business.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own and prepare reporting and analysis of key treasury metrics, including daily monitoring of Freetrade’s cash position, liquidity buffers, and cash movements across multiple bank accounts to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the business.
  • Support liquidity monitoring, forecasting, and scenario analysis to ensure funding levels remain aligned with business needs.
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of short and medium term cash flow forecasts.
  • Support the ongoing maintenance of bank accounts, mandates, signatories, and relationships with banking partners and payment providers.
  • Reconcile transactions in bank accounts to internal records as part of the month-end close process.
  • Support with accruals, prepayments, and other month-end Finance processes.
  • Assist with reporting and analysis to support decision-making across the Finance team.
  • Gain exposure to how treasury and finance operations support customer activity, regulatory requirements, and the wider growth of the business.

About you

Qualifications

  • Strong academics with at least a 2:1 degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.

  • Proficient using Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel, with confidence working with financial data.
  • Strong numerical capability and attention to detail, particularly around cash movements and reconciliations.

  • Curious and proactive, with an interest in financial systems, controls, and how treasury supports the wider business.
