About The Freeths Private Client Services Team

The Freeths PCS team is 50 strong and spread nationally across our offices. For 15 consecutive years Freeths’ Trusts, Estate and Tax lawyers have secured a Tier 1 ranking in the UK’s leading legal directory, Chambers and Partners High Net Worth Guide.

The Top Tier Oxford Trusts, Estates and Tax Team is jointly led by Partners Louise Lewis and Lisa Mark-Bell, who are both listed in Chambers (HNW) and Legal 500. Lisa is dual qualified as a solicitor and a chartered tax adviser and both are based in our Oxford office.

About The Role

The team are seeking a Managing Associate or Director level lawyer to join them in Oxford. For this role, we can be very flexible with the office requirements. We can consider someone who is able to work one day in our Oxford office and two days in another office. Candidates must be able to attend the Oxford office at least one day per week.

The team cover a range of matters for high and ultra-high net worth clients and we have specialists in all areas of trusts, estates and tax with members of the team advising clients with international, agricultural, literary, business and other assets. Directors and Partners all specialise in particular areas, including acting as independent administrators in high net worth contested estates, advising on complex mental capacity issues, administering cross-border estates and advising agricultural clients.

The team is recognised for its ability to work flexibly to find solutions. An example of this is the firm’s Private Wealth Initiative in which members of the Corporate and TET teams work together to build succession and tax plans for business owners.

This role will give you the opportunity to develop professionally, working on high quality instructions alongside leaders in their respective fields. There will be a good level of supervisory responsibilities involved and business development activities will be supported and encouraged.
