Freeths’ highly rated specialist Trusts Estates & Tax team administer hundreds of contentious and non-contentious estates. Much of the work on these estates is undertaken by qualified solicitors with the support of executives and trainees. Due to increased demand, the TET team is growing and now require an additional permanent executive to assist with the day-to-day administration of some of those estates.

We are looking for a Trainee Legal Executive or Probate Executive to assist in administering all types of estates. These will include taxable and non-taxable estates, estates which may have been settled following family disputes, estates containing relievable assets including business and agricultural property assets, estates with related trusts and estates from which trusts will arise. Responsibilities will depend upon level of experience and support in obtaining Legal Executive qualifications will be given.

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience in a fee earning role in a private client team. STEP qualification would be desirable but not required and ideally you will:

  • Be a self-motivated individual.
  • Have the ability to work independently, to deadlines and prioritise accordingly.
  • Be sympathetic with an ability to empathise with clients.
  • Enjoy working as part of a team.
