We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ServiceNow Platform Specialist to join our growing team. This pivotal role will be responsible for the administration, configuration, development, and ongoing support of our ServiceNow platform. The successful candidate will be our internal subject matter expert, driving the successful implementation and maintenance of our new Legal Services module, while also providing expert support and continuous improvement for our existing IT Service Management (ITSM) module and customisations. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive individual to shape our ServiceNow landscape and function as the primary "go-to" person for all platform-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the ServiceNow platform, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability. This includes managing user accounts, roles, groups, and access controls.
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of the ServiceNow Legal Service Delivery module, collaborating closely with our key stakeholders.
- Provide expert support, configuration, and continuous improvement for existing modules.
- Design, develop, and implement solutions within ServiceNow, including workflows, forms, reports, dashboards, service portals, and integrations with other systems.
- Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders (Legal, Admin Support, IT, HR, Finance) to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and regular health checks to ensure the platform remains current, secure, and efficient.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, processes, and user guides. Provide training and support to end-users and other administrators as required.
- Monitor platform performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for process automation and platform optimisation.
- Stay current with ServiceNow best practices, new features, releases, and industry trends to ensure the organisation leverages the platform's full potential.
Skills And Experience
- Proven experience as a ServiceNow Administrator and Developer.
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform architecture and its various modules.
- Demonstrable experience with ServiceNow ITSM module.
- Preferably (but not essential) experience with or a strong understanding of the ServiceNow Legal Service Delivery module.
- Proficiency in configuring and customising ServiceNow, including UI Policies, Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes: Access Control Lists (ACLs), Workflows, Flow Designer, and Service Portal widgets.
- Experience with JavaScript and HTML.
- Knowledge of integrations and data imports/exports.
- Experience with reporting and performance analytics within ServiceNow.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Experience in stakeholder management and requirements gathering.
Qualifications/Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) is essential.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) is highly desirable.
- Additional certifications in ITSM or Legal Service Delivery are a significant advantage, but not essential.
