This opportunity is for an undergraduate placement student from Nottingham Trent University only.
We are looking for an undergraduate placement student in an HR, Psychology or Business related degree to join our HR – Future Talent team on a 12-month placement starting in August 2026. This is a full-time position based in our Nottingham office with some requirement to travel to events in line with our programme of activities. You will support the co-ordination, administration and delivery of our future talent programmes for current and prospective Trainees, Legal Graduates and Apprentices.

Key Responsibilities- You will be supporting the recruitment, evaluation, onboarding, and programme coordination of our future talent programmes and initiatives, ensuring that all activities are thoughtfully planned and effectively communicated.
- You will have the opportunity to co-ordinate and attend careers fairs, events and talks to inspire and attract our future talent.
- You will also support our trainee population from when they start with Freeths through to their qualification as a Solicitor.
- You will build a relationship with the trainees and act as a first point of contact for them and support the team in the administration of our Trainee programmes.
- You will work with the team to ensure that all the relevant forms, reviews, diary entries and employment documentation are completed and stored appropriately to satisfy our training regulations.
- You will have an opportunity to gather content to promote our trainee programmes on our internal intranet and social media posts.
- You will provide administrative support to the HR Future Talent team and support on key projects as required.
- Strong administrative skills with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Organised and driven to complete tasks to a high standard.
- Eager to learn and gain valuable experience in Human Resources.
- IT literate and comfortable working in Excel daily.
- Good communication skills, comfortable speaking to different audiences and able to build relationships with different levels in the business.
- A proactive team player who will use their initiative to support the team and make a difference.
- Ability to embrace new systems.
- Able to stay calm under pressure.
