About The Role

As a Data Executive you will support Freeths Commercial team based in Leeds or Birmingham, delivering high‑quality document review and disclosure support across a variety of commercial matters. This role will involve working across multiple matters and practice areas, supporting teams firmwide. Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking first‑level reviews of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), including accurate and proportionate redactions.
  • Using e‑disclosure platforms (such as Relativity) to support document review and disclosure exercises.
  • Providing regular updates to supervisors and management on matter progress, deadlines and workloads.
  • Managing your own workload effectively, ensuring time, cost and quality considerations are properly considered and communicated.
  • Working collaboratively as part of the data/commercial team, while demonstrating initiative and the ability to manage tasks independently.
  • Ensuring confidential and sensitive information is handled appropriately and in line with firm and client requirements.
  • Proactively offering assistance to colleagues wherever possible to support the wider team.

Your Skills And Qualifications

  • Previous paralegal experience particularly within document review or disclosure, is desirable but not essential.
  • Candidates with a strong academic background and a genuine interest in document review and managed legal services are encouraged to apply.
  • An ability to identify legal privilege and handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience of e‑disclosure platforms (including Relativity) is advantageous; full training will be provided.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise professionally with colleagues across the firm.
  • A strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, high‑quality work.
  • An effective team player with a proactive, flexible and can‑do approach.
  • Good self‑management skills, taking responsibility for your own work and its timely delivery.
