About The Role
The Birmingham-based Trusts, Estates and Tax (TET) team, led by Director, Hannah Turner, is now seeking a Senior Associate-level lawyer who is circa. 3 - 7 PQE. The team advise high and ultra-high net worth clients in a wide variety of trust, estate and tax planning matters and work closely with the wider national TET team whose combined services include acting as independent administrators in high-net-worth contested estates, advising on complex mental capacity issues, administering cross-border estates and advising agricultural clients.
The team is part of the firm’s extensive Private Client Services offering and also supports the wider firm, for example as part of our Private Wealth Initiative which brings together a variety of specialist teams including Corporate, Corporate Tax, Agricultural Property and Family to build holistic, solution driven advice for business owner clients.
This role will give you the opportunity to develop professionally, working on high quality instructions alongside leaders in their respective fields. There will be a good level of supervisory responsibilities involved, and business development activities will be supported and encouraged.
Your Skills And Qualifications
- Have directly relevant previous experience and have the correct level of post qualified experience (PQE) for the role in question.
- To have experience in TET services including administration of trusts.
- A proven track record of competent financial management, ability to meet client expectations and sound case management skills.
- Good IT skills, experience, and confidence with using case management systems, electronic time recording and general Microsoft packages.
- To be a self-starting, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to take initiative.
- To be able to consistently demonstrate and embody the firm’s values.
