The Content Manager develops and delivers the firm’s written thought leadership and campaign content, translating ideas into clear, compelling and commercially aligned narratives. You will own a consistent editorial agenda that supports firmwide priorities and ensures high-quality written content across channels.
Working as part of an integrated marcomms function, you will define key messages and produce standout copy that enables activation by digital, PR, events, BD and HR teams.
Key responsibilities- Own and manage the editorial calendar and content pipeline, ensuring thought leadership and campaign content aligns with firmwide, sector and client priorities.
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders and BD teams to refine and prioritise content topics that support commercial goals.
- Translate complex partner and BD insights into clear, structured and engaging content across formats (articles, reports, web copy, social, email and more).
- Draft high-quality thought leadership and campaign content that brings agreed narratives and key messages to life.
- Develop and maintain messaging for priority themes (eg B Corp, ESG, graduate recruitment), ensuring clarity, consistency and strategic alignment.
- Uphold editorial standards and tone of voice, providing editorial direction and constructive feedback to contributors across the business.
- Develop brand-led narrative and copy for priority campaigns and communications (eg adverts, recruitment, propositions and key firm messages), ensuring consistency across channels.
- Partner with BD and digital teams to optimise content for web and social channels (including SEO considerations where appropriate).
- Use engagement data and stakeholder feedback to refine future content planning and improve effectiveness.
- Develop processes and best-practice guidance that support consistent, efficient content development across the business.
- Excellent editorial expertise, with experience developing thought leadership or insight-led content in a professional services or B2B environment.
- Proven ability to translate complex ideas from senior stakeholders into clear, engaging and commercially relevant messages.
- Demonstrated experience producing high-quality content across multiple formats and channels.
- Experience shaping and managing an editorial calendar and content pipeline.
- Strong understanding of how written content supports digital, PR, events and campaign activity.
- Highly organised, collaborative and confident working with senior leaders and specialists across marcomms and BD.
- Intellectual curiosity and an interest in engaging with complex topics; journalism experience an advantage.
- Typically, five plus years’ relevant editorial experience.
