About the role

The Reward & Benefits Manager will support the design, delivery, and optimisation of the firm’s reward and benefits strategy, with a strong emphasis on data-driven insight, systems optimisation, and market intelligence. This role will act as the firm’s subject matter expert on reward analytics, managing salary benchmarking, benefits performance, and reward governance, while leveraging technology (including Workday and benefits platforms) to drive efficiency, transparency, and strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

  • Reward Strategy, Analysis & Insight
    • Lead the end-to-end reward analytics capability, providing clear, actionable insights to inform senior decision-making.
    • Own and deliver salary benchmarking and market analysis, ensuring alignment with external market trends and firm strategy.
    • Develop and maintain reward dashboards, MI and reporting, tracking trends across pay, bonuses, benefits and retention.
    • Use HR systems and data to identify patterns, risks and opportunities across the employee lifecycle.
    • Model financial and people impacts of reward initiatives (e.g. pay reviews, bonus schemes, benefits changes).
    • Provide robust analysis for annual salary review and bonus processes, ensuring decisions are evidence-based and consistent.
  • Technology, Systems & Automation
    • Act as the functional lead for reward-related systems, including Workday and benefits platforms.
    • Drive continuous improvement in systems integration, automation and reporting capability.
    • Optimise data flows between HR, Finance and benefits providers to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
    • Develop and enhance reporting tools and dashboards for HR and leadership teams.
    • Explore new technologies and AI-driven insights within reward.
  • Benefits Management & External Relationships
    • Oversee the end-to-end benefits offering, ensuring it is competitive, cost-effective and aligned to employee needs.
    • Manage relationships with insurers, brokers and third-party providers, including contract negotiation and performance review.
    • Monitor and respond to external market trends, regulatory changes and sector developments in benefits and reward.
    • Lead benefits renewals, market testing and provider selection processes.
    • Ensure effective governance, compliance and data integrity across all benefit schemes.
  • Stakeholder Management & Leadership
    • Act as a trusted advisor to HR leadership, Finance and senior stakeholders on reward-related matters.
    • Present complex reward data in a clear, concise and commercially meaningful way.
    • Collaborate with HR Business Partners to align reward with business needs and workforce strategy.
    • Support wider HR initiatives including retention, engagement and organisational change.

Your skills and qualifications

Essential

  • Significant experience in a Reward, Compensation & Benefits or HR Analytics role.
  • Advanced capability in data analysis, modelling and insight generation (Excel, dashboards, reporting tools).
  • Strong experience of HR systems (preferably Workday) and benefits platforms.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience managing external providers (insurers, brokers, benefits vendors).
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how reward drives performance and retention.

Desirable

  • Experience within Law Firms, professional services or partnership environments.
  • Knowledge of UK reward practices, tax and regulatory considerations.
  • Exposure to HR technology transformation or system implementation projects.
  • Understanding of AI and emerging technologies in HR analytics and reward.
