We are recruiting for Warehouse Operative/ Van Drivers to work 12 hour Nights in South Ockendon. This is an ongoing role working for a well-known retailer!
Shifts: Wednesday to Saturday one week, then Thursday to Saturday the following week rotating OR Sunday to Wednesday one week, then Sunday to Tuesday the following week rotating (3 days one week, 4 days the next week).
Hours: 5pm-5am (1700-0500)
Pay Rate: £13.16 per hour + overtime paid at x1.5 rate/ £15.80 per hour between 10pm-5am.
As a Warehouse Operative/ Van Driver you will take part in both warehouse and van driving duties as follows:
- Deliver goods to the retail stores using Mercedes Sprinters.
- Conduct a maximum of 12 drops in any one shift.
- Scan items on arrival to each drop off point.
- Load and unload goods.
- Sort tubs and sacks of clothing using pump trucks to move around the warehouse.
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment.
- UK Driving License.
- At least 6 months experience as Van Driver, Multi Drop Driver or similar.
- No more than 6 points on license.
- Ideally experience of driving a long wheel base van.
- Willing to undertake a driving assessment prior to starting.
- Excellent customer service skills.
