Meridian requires a permanent full-time Electrician for a large static site in Battersea (large high-end residential apartment complex blocks).
Salary: £50,000 per annum
Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Overtime: available @ x1.5
Bonuses: Discretionary annual bonuses and awards for exceptional performers
Development: Cross-training and exposure to other roles
Responsibilities:
- The Electrician will be responsible to work on electrical systems in shared residential spaces within the development.
- Entrance halls, foyers, and reception areas.
- Stairwells, landings, and corridors.
- Car parks, gates, and external pathways.
- Bin stores, refuse areas, and laundry rooms.
- Communal facilities.
Duties:
- Planned Maintenance: Emergency light testing, fire alarm checks, and scheduled PPM tasks.
- Reactive and remedial Electrical works: Fault-finding and repairs for lighting, power issues, replacing lamps, lights, pumps, motors, and conducting 2nd-fix tasks such as sockets and switches and general electrical problems.
- Assisting with other trades and completing other general building fabric repairs.
Criteria:
- Proven experience of working in a plumbing role dealing with both domestic and commercial scale projects.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 (Inspection and Testing) preferred but not essential.
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, including the ability to deal with a range of people at all levels.
