Do you have experience of working within the Food and Beverages Industry? If you answered yes to the above questions, I would love to hear from you! A leading procurement consultancy and services business based in Milton Keynes who works with some of the UK\’s biggest and most prestigious names and brands in the food and hospitality industry, managing their procurement and delivering continuous value for them. To support their growth, they are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to join their team where you will lead their procurement team, drive the procurement strategy and manage their supply base. This opportunity is a new role and has headroom to develop further within the business. Key accountabilities and job role: Lead, develop and support the procurement team; Accountability for all supplier spend delivering market leading commercial terms and value for our clients; Lead on major food and beverage categories, developing strategic supply plans; Develop strong relationships with the supply base that support the delivery of strategic objectives and initiatives for our clients; Work with the client stakeholders (typically up to C-level) to ensure procurement requirements and objectives are met; Ensure strong communication both internally and externally with the client and suppliers. You will need to have the following essential experience and skills: Experience in senior procurement or category management roles within the food industry; Previous experience of excellent stakeholder management at a senior level up to CEO; Demonstrates a good understanding of complex supply chain models ideally within the foodservice industry; Experience of managing a procurement team; Strong negotiator and the ability to communicate at all levels; Excellent level of IT competence including Microsoft Windows Software such as Excel; High level of numeracy and an analytical approach; Strong financial and commercial acumen with a high level of attention to detail; Ability to influence; Be a team player; Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines; Ability to organise and prioritise workload; Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
