Are you an Oncology Nurse based in Scotland? An exciting opportunity for an Oncology Nurse to join our Clinical homecare company. This role is field based and focused on 1:1 patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 oncology nursing care in patients' homes, including bloods, toxicity assessments, IV chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy, pump disconnections, line care, IM/SC injections and patient training.
- Be part of a wider oncology team that looks after 100,000 patients each year; you will mainly work solo.
- Travel between patients across Scotland; be prepared for driving between locations.
- No hospitals or wards; make a direct impact on patients in their own homes.
Requirements:
- Experience nurse with a valid NMC PIN and either: Formal Oncology qualification; SACT passport.
- In-house Oncology training to administer SACT (Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy) cannulation and venepuncture competency.
- Display a high level of care and empathy to help patients achieve their goals and regain their independence.
- Well-organised and comfortable managing your own workload and itinerary.
- Basic IT skills are required.
- Extensive travelling will be required between patients, so a full UK driving licence is essential.
